Bridgette lives in Louisiana where Hurricane Gustav was projected to hit. They evacuated this morning around 330, with dog, baby, and a 3.5 year old in tow. Please just say a few prayers that they get to where they were headed safely and soundly.

It’s hard but I check this morning and there IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THEM!! So he HAS been nursing for comfort and sleep. Well not anymore, he’ll be 2 in a little over a month and it’s time to stop.
I just need to be stronger and keep telling him no and either just play with him when he’s not overly tired or put him to sleep.
Yanno, I’m not feeling sad about YET. We still have cuddle time but it’s not like when he would just sit still on my lap and nurse. I had to lay him in his bed that is no longer a crib now, and he fell asleep on his own after crying and fussin’ for a few minutes.
I think I’m doing well with the weaning. I kind of hit him with a double whammy though, Bubby going to school and weaning. NOT COOL in his book at the moment, but it’s for the best. I’m ready for my boobies to be mine.
Well he’s up from his nap but I don’t think he’s ready to be awake yet. LOL
SO what do you think. LOL I used Scrapblog.com. I do have an account.
Til my Blogaversary!!! WOW I might do a birthday bash but not sure of what yet. I still need to send out some emails. I might feature a blogger two that week. If you would like to be featured just email me your link and a few links to some past posts.
My real birthday is coming up also, on the 7th. Woohooo 24 years this chic has been in the making. I might post some embarassing videos that I did earlier this year. Some of my readers will know what I’m talking about. *wink*wink* LOL
HP’ers keep a look out for some Harry Potter stuff too. I’ll be working on a post for that to put up.

Thanks to Christy from The Write Gal who ran the contest and Stubby Pencil Studios. They sent the sketchbook along with some smencils and two little cards that are just absolutely darling.
The Smencils OMG smell wonderful with the fruit smells, soda smells, and candy smells. As soon as I opened the the bag they were in I could instantly smell them. However DID They get those smells in there.
My Hubs lick one to see if it had any taste and well they don’t so they aren’t for eating. LOL Keep that in mind if you have little ones.
I doodle in the sketchbook along with jotting down ideas for my posts.

His first day of Preschool went well. He’s such an independent little boy it made me cry. Tuesday he didn’t want me to walk with him to his classroom. He truely tore my heart. My baby is growing up. I just hope the excitement for school stays with him for a little while longer.
I’ll be hosting the Scrapbook Saturday this week, Mamma Dawg will be out of town on a road trip. I’m sure she has already posted about it. So get those pages ready.. I thought about maybe doing a theme this week but then thought well maybe not everyone would be able to do it. So if you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments.
