MomDot Blog Party Day 2
Today’s question is “What kind of traditions run in the family for the holidays.”
So here are a few of our Family Traditions, since we’ve been a family since 05.
The on thing I always look forward to both at Thanksgiving and Chritmas dinner is HOMEMADE NOODLES. I helped make them when I was younger and I will soon be making my own and having the boys help me.
On to the Christmas traditions.
The hubs and I get up and make breakfast make sure we got all the presents out under the tree. We usually let the boys sleep until they wake up. I put on some christmas music and light a candle, for my grandpa that past before I even got to know him. That tradition has been the family since as long as I can remember and I’d like to keep it going.
Then the boys wake up and we open present while eating, it’s usually Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls and milk. Makes the house smell delicious.
After we open up gifts, last year and the years before we traveled five minutes to the inlaws and opened their gifts. This I think we are gonna do it again here at MY HOUSE. I hate traveling with the boys and packing gifts. Anyway last we had family come over and opened the gifts that they had.
I had food cooking in two pots. Noodles in a big crockpot and then some turkey and vegetables in a warmer, I think. I can’t remember what it’s called because it’s my moms.
After opening gifts it’s time to eat and spend time playing with the gifts.
That’s really about it. Not much of a tradition but some of it I just carried down from when I was younger.
